 India is a country known for its vcolors and the use of colors in festivals, Holi is a festival of colors of  Hindus. 

IN HINDUS TEMPLE you  can find saffron flag over the top the temple . The flag stands for purity and devine light. As the Orange color signifies purity. Orange is color of fire and Fire burns impurity, the meaning of orange color to show purity is derived form that. And in Hindus importance of fire is alot in worships, they use fire 

Saffron also represent scarifies (to Give Up) In Hindus sages generally wear a saffron color clothes . Which represent that they  scarified all the luxury , sins , love and emotions  of the world . Thats means they give all the self centered values of there life to help others.

Look Fire has a very important role in Hindus . Fire burns impurity, remove darkness, burns the ego. Hindu use fire to burn the effigies of  Ravan ,Kumbhkaran and Meghnath by chanting "Jay Shree Ram" during Dussehra.which shows the  victory of good over evil.

Fire conist of Three color Red , Yellow and Orange. Red at the bottom, Yellow in middle and Orange on top.which symbolises Purity . The three color become holy colors of Hindus.

Saffron is the color The Sun also , The Sun is associated with enlightenment, development and the biggest source of light. The importnace of saffron or Orange is derived form this also. 

In Hindus Sun is worshiped .
